FAQ on the Wedding

Can we stay at the B&B?

While we'd love to have everyone who is near and dear to us stay at the B&B (party!), the B&B is only so big. We've arranged for immediate family and those helping with the wedding to stay at Heron Haus, but please check out the "Where to Stay" page for other nearby locations!

What'cha serving?

BBQ! I love BBQ, Kip loves BBQ, so that's what we're having. You don't think Portland is a BBQ town? Think again.

We'll also have a couple of kegs on-site, and an assortment of wine (and possibly some sangria, but that might be in short supply...). At the moment we do not have any plans to provide hard liquor. If you don't like beer and wine you are welcome to bring your own cocktail fixin's of choice, but please read below:

How rowdy can we get?

Pam and Carl are opening their beautiful home and place of business to us, so we need to be respectful of that! And I know you all will be! Because the B&B is in a residential neighborhood, there is a cap on the amount of noise we can make. Legally we will need to quiet down around 8pm, but to keep the neighbors happy we also can't throw a kegger up until then! Beer, wine, and food will be plentiful throughout the day, but no one can do a keg stand or run around naked.

But what if you really want to party hard? Once 8-9pm rolls around we plan to take a short walk (10 minutes) down onto 21st Street where we can pub crawl! Everyone who wants to go (or to go get some sleep) is welcome. Unfortunately at this point the tab is no longer provided by Kip and I (sorry, but we figure you'd all understand). No buying the bride shots of Jägermeister.
